An assortment of small-scale illustration assignments I have undertaken in the past for a diverse background of purposes.
J. WAYNE REITZ UNION ARTS & CRAFTS CENTER MURAL
The Arts & Crafts Center was renovated during the summer of 2017. Part of its renovation was the creation of a mural for the entrance of the area. For its grand reopening, the Arts & Crafts Center hosted activities and provided free goodies for students; this included tote bags with the mural design outline to color in, buttons, sketchbooks, and cookies. SWAMPCON
Established in 2012, SwampCon is the University of Florida's student-run multi-genre convention with an attendance averaging 4,000 people each year. Guests may attend various events such as the (fan-made) Vocaloid Concert, SwampCon Drag Show, Costume Contest, and Maid Cafe. I have been on the organization's Design Team from 2014–2018, contributing to the development and visual identity of the convention's annual theme.

THE IDEAL LATINA
The objective of this class project was to design a poster tackling an issue in body politics. I chose to satirize stereotypes of the Latina through ingredients, as though they are necessary characteristics to be a true Latina. Though some of these traits seem positive, it is exclusive to those who actually relate to them. They make those who cannot relate to them seem like outsiders of the Hispanic culture. The design portrays the idea that one's body cannot be the reference point to one's heritage— it is the way one was brought up and, most importantly, their blood that connects them to their culture.
Prints of this design were sold at the UF School of Art + Art History THE FRIDGE pop-up shop and gallery in October 2016. It was also featured at the LIGATURE 26 EXHIBITION, UF's annual Graphic Design Symposium.
ACCALIA CONCEPT ART
WAY OF THE WOLF is a 3D action/adventure game where the player is able to form a bond with a wolf, Accalia, in order to save the ecological destruction of the world. The sketches below aided in creating Accalia's final structure without her bodily markings.
BIG ORANGE FESTIVAL SHIRT DESIGN
The BIG ORANGE FESTIVAL is an annual music and comedy festival hosted by the Reitz Programming Board. It is a custom to make the shirt design separate to the brand identity created for the event. This year, the design combines elements of the event and the state of Florida—headphones and the orange. These shirts were handed out to the first 400 students to check-in to the event.
PLASTIC WINGS BOOK COVER DESIGN
The cover artwork and design for C.T. Callahan’s “Plastic Wings” depicts key elements from their story. The book may be purchased at the online shop of THREE LITTLE BOOKS CO.
TOAST PROCESS COMIC
A comic detailing my reasoning and process behind making toast. This is my attempt to bring spirit and humor to a typically banal action.
“GREETINGS FROM THE REITZ UNION” POSTCARD
The illustration for this postcard was created through painting over a photograph of the University of Florida student union, the Reitz Union. I used textured brushes and added hatch marks to give it the look and feel of a vintage postcard.
